So what exactly is CrossFit? CrossFit is defined as Constantly Varied, Functional Movements, Perfomed At High Intensity.
Still wondering what that heck that means right?
Constantly Varied– Our workouts are always different. We prepare for the unknown and never fall into a routine.
Functional Movements– Our workouts are designed for things you do in everyday life. Picking up the kids, carrying groceries, picking up a heavy box and putting it on a shelf. In our W.O.D.s (Workout of the Day) incorporate strength and conditioning, gymnastics (body weight/ body control movements), and Olympic lifting. We will teach you how to perform and continue working on performing all these movements CORRECTLY and SAFELY.
You don’t see any machines in our box because you are the machine!!
High Intensity– Simply stated this is where the results are. The goal is to be able to due a large amount of work in as little time as possible, SAFELY!! We start you off slow; teaching you to move and lift safely. As you become more confident with the movments we start to add intensity or speed. Everything here will be done safely!!!
Why Does CrossFit Work?- This program has changed lifes for many reasons. The biggest reason – the community. We workout in a class setting. We track and record all our times and numbers. We hold each other accountable. We compete with each other but most important we teach you to compete against yourself. We will push you to be better than you thought you could be. The person who finishes last will get the biggest cheers. THIS IS A TRUE JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE!!! Everyone here wants you to be better and will do whatever it takes to get you there. Bad attitudes are not allowed in our Box. Everyone comes in smiling and ready to sweat!!
