What is your athletic background?
I played baseball and soccer prior to high school and with friends on occasion. During high school,
marching band was my primary activity.
What do you do for a living?
I am an Investigative Specialist for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
I have been CrossFitting since June 2016
Have you trained before? If so, what are the differences you like about CrossFit than your past
Never really trained for anything before. I’ve taken some weight training classes, but I like that
CrossFit is never the same thing. When I would go to the gym before CFNOCO, I would just throw
some stuff together and never really push myself.
I’d say the deadlift is probably my best movement. I’ve made more gains on that move than any

Hitting PRs and getting stronger
What is one of your main goals for CrossFit?
To become a wellrounded athlete, instead of just doing cardio or just lifting weights.
What do you do outside of the box that is going to help your performance inside the box?
I try to go running on a semi regular basis.
What do you enjoy on your leisure time?
I enjoy hiking and camping with my family.
What advice would you give a new CrossFitter?
Take your time and listen to the coaches so you don’t hurt yourself.
Any final thoughts on CrossFit?
As far as my health and fitness, joining CFNOCO has been my best decision!
