What is your athletic background? I played multiple sports in rec leagues as a kid. In high school I played tennis, basketball, and softball.
How long have you been CrossFitting? Since mid-October, so about 4 months.
Have you trained before? If so, what are the differences you like about CrossFit than your past training? I’ve taken zumba classes, bootcamp classes, and had a personal trainer. The differences that I like about CrossFit are that it is a group class with the benefits of having a trained coach. The group atmosphere is great because we get to encourage and push each other to do better, while still getting one on one help from the coach when necessary.
Favorite movement: Squat Clean and Jerk
Favorite WOD: Any partner WOD.
Favorite CrossFit moment: When everyone encourages each other to do “just 1 more.”
What is one of your main goals for CrossFit? Lose weight and build strength
What do you do outside of the box that is going to help your performance inside the box?
What do you enjoy on your leisure time? Crafting and margaritas
What advice would you give a new CrossFitter? Focus on form first.
Any final thoughts on CrossFit? Our box is so welcoming. I’m glad I’ve finally found something I enjoy and that I’ll stick with.
