We never said it was going to be easy, we just said it was going to be worth it.
In order to make classes run as smooth as possible, please follow a few simple request:
1. Class – Sign Up/Cancel
Sign up or cancel a class 2 hour prior to class time. In order to keep cost down for our athletes and the box, we won’t have a coach at the box if no one is signed up for class; that’s why we ask this of our athletes. We know that things happen…so if you can’t make the 2 hour window; just shoot a text over to A.J. or Eric.
2. Class Time
Please arrive to class EARLY! Use that time to work on a weakness and that way we can start on time as well.
3. WODing Expectations
Leave your EGO in the car.
Listen to your coach! We are here to make sure you are performing the movements safely and correctly…we can care less on how much you can lift but we care more on how well the movement was performed and executed.
SCALE IF NEEDED! We are all NoCo Athletes…rather a Rx or scale; there is no difference in the athletes and community we are. The goal is to have a safe and effective workout.
Movements are expected to be at FULL RANGE OF MOTION to count. If full range of motion cannot be achieved, talk to your coach and find out about modifying the movement.
We expect you to count your reps…cheating your WOD is a NO! NO!
We expect you to finish…cuss, yell, scream, cry, but finish! Your body will quit before your mind will…push yourself to the limits and then passed that point.
Cheer your fellow athletes!
In efforts to keep all costs down, athletes will not:
DO NOT DROP an empty bar!
DO NOT DROP a bar with 15 lb plates or lower.
DO NOT DROP Kettlebells or dumbbells.
ONLY the above is allowed when in harms way but not out of exhaustion.
Please clean up after yourself. Put away bars, weights, or any other equipment that you may have used unless otherwise told by the coach.
Wipe down equipment if needed.
5. Respect the PROCESS and the fact that the PROCESS is ONGOING! We are all works in progress…from the elite to the newbie.
6. Introduce yourself to the newbie…remember you were once that person.
7. HAVE FUN! The CrossFit North County Community and Box Environment is awesome and like no other.
