What is you athletic background? I played football and ran track in college.
What do you do for a living? I’m an energy consultant for Ameren. I do design work in Illinois for gas
and electric distribution systems
How long have you been CrossFitting? Since October 2014
Have you trained before? If so, what are the differences you like about CrossFit than your past
training? My training before was more isolated. My training in football was more based on strength
and speed. My track training was really only based on speed an endurance. Crossfit has
incorporated everything I’ve done in the past and much more.
Favorite movement: muscle up
Favorite WOD:I guess drinking WODS and WODS where I don’t die are excluded. so I’d have to go
Favorite CrossFit moment: had to be when I did my first muscle up
What is one of your main goals for CrossFit? One of my main goals is to be able to compete with
some of the best. (It’s really to consistently not look like a complete fool while doing physical
activities. Staying in shape will help that right?)
What do you do outside of the box that is going to help your performance inside the box? in the
mornings I don’t do crossfit I run to help my endurance. The evenings I don’t do crossfit I do
standard gym training
What do you enjoy on your leisure time? Hang out with my buds, volleyball, movies, long walks in
the park, freestyle rap battles… Everyday usualstuff
What advice would you give a new CrossFitter? The first month or 2 is pretty hard on your body.
Stay with it and it will pay off greatly
Any final thoughts on CrossFit? I’m not saying this because I’m biased but I’m pretty sure we have
the best box in the galaxy
