What is you athletic background? I did ballet until I was about 15.
What do you do for a living? I am a student an UMSL by day and at night I work as a Telemarketer.
How long have you been CrossFitting?
I’ve been CrossFitting a little over 2 months.
Have you trained before? If so, what are the differences you like about CrossFit than your past
Favorite movement: Handstands
Favorite WOD: 21-15-9 Pull ups, pistols, and double unders because it was my first WOD.
Favorite CrossFit moment:
When I did my first real CrossFit class post foundations. The WOD was 21-15-9 Pull ups, pistols, and double unders and apparently my hearing was turned off that day because I did 21-21-21 LOL. I was struggling so badly and the whole time I was thinking “I’m not cut out for this.” I was working on my final set of 21 (what was supposed to be 9) and Coach Eric and Dave look at each other confused and say “Uhhhhh you know it was 21-15-9, not 21-21-21?” I was so embarrassed.
What is one of your main goals for CrossFit?
To do a strict pull up without a band!
What do you do outside of the box that is going to help your performance inside the box?
Try to drink at least 62 oz of water
Get at least 7 hours of sleep
Eat clean during the week and stay away from processed foods.
What do you enjoy on your leisure time?
What advice would you give a new CrossFitter?
The first class is the hardest! It’s going to test you physically and mentally, but if you really push and put in the work, you will for sure see results.
Any final thoughts on CrossFit?
I’m still new to CrossFit, but I’m excited to grow in the sport, and at this awesome box!
